Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up near Tallahassee in Florida. Her birthplace was in Miami Beach on September 21 1964, to Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. Her studies included West Virginia University, Florida State University as well as The University of Central Florida. She studied theater and television production. However, it wasn't until she relocated in Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt she'd learned something regarding comedy. Her first instructor was Lisa Kudrow. She was taught how to perform improv and make comedy sketches. Her experience was instrumental in her preparation to play Larry David's wife in the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). Since the dialogue is improvised in comedies that deal with situations it's a homecoming for her. It is the Groundlings Theater is where she plays when time is available.
